scorebuddy.in · Effective from 29 September 2026 · Last updated 29 September 2026
These terms govern your use of ScoreBuddy's courses, tests, videos and live classes. Please read them before you register or pay.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, mobile applications, courses, tests, videos and live classes at scorebuddy.in and our course site learn.scorebuddy.in (“ScoreBuddy”, “the Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”), operated by Sweta Sharma, sole proprietor, trading as ScoreBuddy, India.
You accept these Terms when you register an account, enrol in any course, make a payment, or use any part of the Platform — including free content. If you do not accept them, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy, which form part of this agreement. Where a course page, batch brochure or offer states specific terms, those apply in addition to these.
Adults. If you are 18 or over, you may register and contract with us directly.
Students under 18. Under Indian law a person below 18 cannot enter into a binding contract. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must register on your behalf, accept these Terms, give consent under our Privacy Policy, and make any payment. By allowing you to use the Platform, they accept these Terms for themselves and for you, and they are responsible for your use of it and for all fees.
Accurate information. You must give true, current and complete information when you register, including your correct date of birth. Registering with someone else's details, or stating an age of 18 or over when you are not, is a breach of these Terms and lets us suspend the account without refund.
Where we operate. The Platform is offered from India and intended for users in India. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local law.
An account is personal to you. It is issued to one named student for that student's own use. You may not share your login, password or OTP with anyone — not a friend, a sibling, a classmate, a study group, or another student who could not afford the course. You may not sell, rent, lend, transfer or gift your account or your access to a course.
You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you gave access to, deliberately or carelessly. Tell us at info.scorebuddy@gmail.com immediately if you think someone else has your credentials.
Device limits. Your account may be used on at most 2 devices, and on only one device at a time. We may bind your account to your devices and require approval before a new device is added. Changing devices more than 3 times in a course period needs our approval.
What we monitor. To enforce this we record login history, IP addresses, device identifiers, session overlaps and unusual viewing patterns. Simultaneous logins from different cities, an unusual number of devices, or viewing volume that no single student could produce are treated as evidence of sharing.
What happens if you share an account. We may, at our discretion and without notice: log out all sessions, reduce your device limit, suspend the account pending explanation, or terminate it. Where we terminate an account for sharing, no refund of any kind is due, and we may refuse to enrol you again.
Accounts for parents. A parent or guardian who registered on behalf of a student under 18 may hold the login and supervise its use. That is not account sharing.
| What you buy | What you get | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Course access | Recorded lessons, study material, practice sets and the tests included in that course | The validity period shown on the course page, after which access ends automatically |
| Live online batch | Scheduled live classes, plus recordings and material for that batch | The batch duration shown at enrolment, plus any recording access period stated |
| Test series | The mock tests and sectional tests in that series, with solutions and analysis | The validity period shown on the test series page |
| Free content | Selected lessons, sample tests and trial access | Until we change or withdraw it, which we may do at any time |
Access, not ownership. You are buying a limited right to view and use the material for your own preparation during the validity period. You are not buying the material itself, and access ends when the period ends. We are not obliged to extend validity, and extensions, where offered, may be chargeable.
What is included is what is listed. The course page at the time of your purchase defines what you get. Anything not listed there — doubt sessions, one-to-one mentoring, printed material, counselling, additional tests — is not included unless we say so in writing.
Live class schedules. Class timings, dates and the number of classes are indicative. We may reschedule a class, change its timing, merge or split batches, and change the faculty teaching it. Where a live class cannot be held, we will reschedule it or make a recording available; that is your remedy, and no refund is due for it.
Technical requirements. You need a compatible device, a working internet connection and a supported browser or app version. We are not responsible for your inability to access the Platform because of your device, connection, power supply, or network operator.
Prices. Fees are shown on the course page in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time; a change does not affect a purchase already completed.
Payment. Payment is made through our payment gateway. Your access begins once we receive confirmation that the payment succeeded. A failed, reversed or disputed payment may result in immediate suspension of access.
Full payment. Unless we offer an instalment plan in writing, fees are payable in full before access is given. Where instalments are allowed, missing an instalment suspends access until it is paid, and the whole balance becomes due.
Discounts, coupons and scholarships. These are offered at our discretion, apply only as stated, cannot be combined unless we say so, cannot be claimed after a purchase is completed, and have no cash value.
Third-party charges. Bank charges, payment gateway fees, currency conversion costs and any charges your card issuer levies are yours to bear.
Chargebacks. If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is open. Where a chargeback is decided in our favour, we may recover the associated costs from you and decline to serve you in future.
Refunds are governed entirely by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Everything on the Platform is our intellectual property or licensed to us — video lessons, live class recordings, questions, question banks, solutions, explanations, notes, PDFs, planners, test papers, analysis reports, the ScoreBuddy name and logo, the design of the Platform, and its software. All rights are reserved.
What you may do. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to stream, view and use the material of the courses you have paid for, on your permitted devices, for your own examination preparation, during the validity period. You may take handwritten notes for yourself and download material we have expressly marked as downloadable.
What you may not do. You may not, in whole or in part:
These restrictions survive the end of your course, the expiry of your access and the termination of your account.
Our courses are priced on the assumption that each student who uses them has paid for them. Piracy directly harms the students who did pay, so we enforce this seriously.
How we detect it. Video streams and downloadable files may carry a visible or invisible watermark tied to your account, so that a leaked copy can identify the account it came from. We also monitor login patterns, device fingerprints, session overlaps, download volumes and screen-capture attempts, and we search public channels and groups for our material.
What we do about it. Where we find, on reasonable grounds, that you have recorded, copied, shared or distributed our content or shared your account, we may do any or all of the following, without notice and at our sole discretion:
Copyright infringement is a criminal offence in India. Under section 63 of the Copyright Act, 1957 it is punishable with imprisonment and a fine. This is not a formality — it applies to forwarding a lecture to a WhatsApp group as much as to selling a course.
If you see our content where it should not be, tell us at info.scorebuddy@gmail.com. Where the report leads to a takedown, we may reward you at our discretion.
Reporting an infringement of your own work. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, write to info.scorebuddy@gmail.com with details of the work, where it appears on the Platform, and proof of your rights. We will investigate and remove infringing material.
A significant part of our content is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence — questions, solutions, step-by-step explanations, summaries, practice sets, and the personalised analysis of your performance.
AI makes mistakes. An answer key may be wrong. A working may skip a step, or state one incorrectly. A formula, fact, date or definition may be wrong. An explanation may be confidently written and still be misleading. We review material where we can, but we do not check every item, and we cannot.
So, expressly:
No guarantee of results. We do not promise, and nothing on the Platform or in our marketing should be read as promising, that you will pass any examination, achieve any score, percentile or rank, or secure admission to any institution. Results depend on your own effort, ability and circumstances. Any result, rank or testimonial we publish is an individual outcome, not a typical or expected one.
Tell us about errors. Report any mistake you find to info.scorebuddy@gmail.com. We will review and correct it. Reporting an error does not entitle you to a refund, a credit or compensation.
In live classes, chats, doubt forums and anywhere else on the Platform, you must not:
Tests and rankings. Where we find that a test was attempted dishonestly, we may cancel the attempt, remove the score from leaderboards and rankings, exclude you from future tests, and terminate your account without refund. Our decision on cheating is final.
Moderation. We may remove any post, message or review, and restrict your ability to post, without notice. We are not obliged to monitor everything users post, and we are not responsible for what other users say.
Contacting our teachers. Teachers are available through the Platform's designated channels during the hours we publish. You may not contact them on personal numbers or social media, and they are not obliged to respond outside those channels.
What you post stays yours, but we may use it. Doubts, answers, forum posts, reviews, testimonials and anything else you submit remain your property. By submitting them you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and display them on the Platform and in our marketing, without payment or attribution.
Use of your name, photograph and results in our marketing. By registering on the Platform you agree that ScoreBuddy may use, in its marketing, publicity and promotional material:
This material may appear on our website and apps, on social media, in paid advertisements, in brochures, posters and hoardings, in result announcements, and in communications to other students and parents. The permission is worldwide, royalty-free and perpetual, you will not be paid for it, and it continues after your course ends.
Withdrawing it. Write to info.scorebuddy@gmail.com and we will stop using your name, photograph and results in material published after that. We are not obliged to recall or edit material already printed, published, broadcast or distributed. Withdrawing does not affect your access to a course you have paid for.
Students under 18. This permission is given by the parent or guardian who registered the account, and may be withdrawn by them in the same way.
We may, at any time and without liability to you:
Where a paid live batch is cancelled entirely by us and not rescheduled or replaced with recordings, the Refund and Cancellation Policy sets out what is due.
Availability. We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Downtime, slow streaming, and interruptions caused by your network, your device, our hosting providers, or events outside our control are not breaches of this agreement and do not entitle you to a refund or an extension.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, with or without notice, if we believe on reasonable grounds that you have:
No refund on termination for breach. Where we terminate your account for any of the above, all fees you have paid are forfeited and no refund, credit or transfer is due. This is in addition to any other remedy we have, including the liquidated damages in section 7.
Our decision. We will act reasonably, and we will tell you the reason if you ask. Our decision on whether a breach occurred is final, subject to the grievance process in section 15.
Ending it yourself. You may stop using the Platform and ask us to close your account at any time by writing to info.scorebuddy@gmail.com. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund.
What survives. Sections 6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14 and 15 continue to apply after your account ends, whoever ended it.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We are not liable for:
Cap on our liability. Where, despite the above, we are found liable to you for any claim arising out of or connected with the Platform or these Terms, our total aggregate liability for all claims combined is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the course in question in the 12 months before the claim arose, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.
No indirect losses. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary loss, however it arises, even if we were told it was possible.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScoreBuddy, Sweta Sharma, and our teachers, staff and service providers against any claim, demand, loss, damage, penalty, cost or legal expense arising out of:
Where you are under 18, this obligation rests with the parent or guardian who registered the account.
Talk to us first. Most problems are settled quickly. Write to info.scorebuddy@gmail.com with your registered email address, your order or enrolment ID, and what went wrong.
Grievance Officer. If you are not satisfied, escalate to our Grievance Officer, appointed under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.
Escalation before any legal step. You agree to raise a complaint with the Grievance Officer and allow 30 days for resolution before starting any legal proceedings, arbitration or chargeback.
Arbitration. Any dispute that is not resolved through the grievance process will be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by us, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration is Jaipur, the language is English, and the award is final and binding. Each party bears its own costs unless the arbitrator directs otherwise.
Governing law and jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause, the courts at Jaipur have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may change these Terms. The current version is always on this page, with its “last updated” date. For a material change we will give notice by email or in-app notice at least 7 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the change. If you do not accept it, stop using the Platform; that is not a ground for a refund.
Severability. If any clause is held invalid or unenforceable, it is to be read down to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these Terms continue in force.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right on one occasion, that does not waive it.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours to any successor to the business.
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any course-specific terms are the whole agreement between us, and replace anything said or written before. No statement by a counsellor, teacher or staff member adds to them unless we confirm it in writing.
