From the previous working, B(2016) = 80 (B must be a multiple of 16, and 96 fails the 2024 range condition).

B falls 25% in each period: 80 → 60 → 45.

Shortcut: 9B/16 must be an integer and only B = 80 survives the 2024 range test, so B(2024) = 9 × 80 ÷ 16 = 45.
